Sarutahiko jinja shrine
This , facing both the Miyuki andMikimoto Roads，is dedicated to Sarutahiko-okami，
who acted as a pilot when thesun goddess，Amaterasu-omikami's grandson
descended from heaven onto earth，andlater Ota-no-mikoto, a descendant of
Sarutahiko，also guidedYamatohime-no-mikoto to place the lnner Shrine at Ise. So
people visit here topray for traffic safety as well as good luck and business as the
guardian godof pioneers. Every May, the sacred field behindthe shrine plays host to the traditional rice-planting
ceremony. This isrecognized as a cultural asset by the Prefedure.
